Grow Kit Care

Wait 1 Month:

Allow your Chestnut mushroom grow bag to sit for one full month from the date written on the bag. This gives the mycelium time to fully colonize and prepare for pinning.

Cold Shock:

After the month has passed, place the bag in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. This cold shock helps trigger pin formation.

Resume Normal Instructions:

Once removed from the refrigerator, follow the standard grow instructions for fruiting your bag( make your fruiting cut, maintain proper humidity, and place in bright indirect light )

About Chestnuts

Chestnut mushrooms aren’t just tasty—they’re tiny powerhouses packed with goodness! When you enjoy these earthy, nutty mushrooms, you’re loading up on essential nutrients like Copper and Vitamin B5, plus a whole cast of health-boosting buddies like Folate, Biotin, B2, B3, Potassium, and Selenium.

But that’s not all—these fungi have some serious wellness perks. Chestnut mushrooms are said to have anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antibiotic, and even anti-tumor properties. Some studies even suggest they might help slow down the progression of osteoporosis.

With Chestnuts, know you’re not just feeding your belly—you’re fueling your body, too!

Different ways to Cook

Sautéed

Slice or tear your mushrooms and cook them in a hot pan with a little oil or butter. Let them release moisture and caramelize until golden brown—great for topping toast, pasta, or adding to eggs.

Pan-Fried

Keep mushrooms whole or halved and cook them over medium-high heat in oil or butter until crispy on the edges and tender inside. Perfect as a side dish or savory snack.

In Soup

Roughly chop and add to broths or creamy soups. Chestnut mushrooms hold their texture well and add a deep, earthy flavor to any soup base.

Roasted

Toss mushrooms with olive oil, salt, and herbs, then roast in the oven at 400°F for 20–25 minutes. They come out meaty and flavorful—great for bowls, salads, or sandwiches.
